Note that 70 percent of Tose-eh insurance stock is under the
authority of board of founders and 30 percent of its stock is assigned to
people by banking system.

Tose-eh insurance company to inaugurate
Tose-eh insurance company inaugurated as a private
insurance company in last year. Central bank of
Iran managed to transfer
the ownership from governmental sector to private sector in 1994. This plan
resulted in 1997 through inauguration of the first private financial
institutes called private insurance companies by which Tose-eh insurance
company has come into existence, said Mr. Salmasi, one of the founder members
of Tose-eh insurance company.
In addition to the founder members, including Credit
Institution for Development (CID), some other members were invited through
notice of invitation, to invest on this private company.

"privatization needs planning"
The managing director of Tose-eh insurance company treated
privatization as an inevitable matter in insurance industry. "Regarding to
this matter that we should be presented in the world market and associated
with WTO, privatization should be occurred in our insurance industry", he
said.
Mr. Shafeei Hanjani added: "privatization needs
specialized planning and so economic planning is not the only important
point but the cultural and social problems should be solved and its frame
should be formed."
